All those unproductive relationships that you have been through can be very weary and you often wonder whether you are simply wasting your efforts. All that time lost looking around could surely be consolidated and used more effectively if you were to date more than one man at a time. Your chances of success are doubled, aren’t they?

You may think that you were just hedging your position and there is no harm in what you are doing, but you must be very careful if you do decide to date more than one man. Realism is very important and you have to be ultra-fair to everyone involved, otherwise you will certainly end up in a sour position.

This will require some soul-searching. You need to ask yourself whether you are truly okay with the idea of seeing more than one guy? You need to understand that you could lay yourself open to criticism, as this is not a conventional approach.

Be selective about your suitors. If you make the decision to date more than one man you are going to have to allocate a lot of your spare time. Are both guys really candidates for the long-term? If you feel that they have equal merit, then you may go ahead.

Never engage in sexual relationships with both guys in a situation such as this as it will lead to bad feelings, complicate your true feelings and be generally unfair. Just leave it out.

Because you’re likely to run into people who you know, try and avoid going to the same venues with each guy. To a certain extent you are going to have to have different worlds, or be prepared for some awkward encounters.

Full disclosure is important, as you’ll have to let each guy know that you are dating somebody else as well. Just be honest with them and tell them why you are doing this. Chances are they will understand, but if not it is better for you to have told them in advance and for them to refuse, rather than finding out the hard way.

Because you are trying to create a life for yourself ahead, it is important that you do not come up with a different persona when you date more than one man. For example, you might think that one guy particularly likes a certain characteristic and the other might like something else. Don’t split yourself this way or you’ll confuse everybody!
